Happy 1st Birthday!

Little madam is ONE today :D She was born at 5.14pm last year :-)

She has hit the teens early today seeing as she was in a mood as soon as she woke up! We sent her straight back to bed whilst watching her card being shown on CBeebies at 10.30am. When she woke up a little later she seemed in a better mood and opened all her cards and presents which she loved! I can't believe she knew how to tear the paper off and find what was inside!

She started getting more and more grouchy so we decided against swimming. Instead we walked to the Toby Carvery and had a meal to celebrate her turning one. She slept through most of it but woke just in time to sit up in a highchair and enjoy a mini roast.

We took the opportunity to pop into the doctors and have her checked over seeing as she hasnt been sleeping well lately since the crash. The doctor said she seems fine but to give her calpol in the evenings just in case her muscles are hurting. She is now booked in on thr 9th to have her injections :-(
Whilst at the doctors we realised it would be a good for the other half to pop into little madams new nursery to have a proper look around before she starts there in January. The other half loved the nursery! Just waiting now to find out what date she starts.

We're home now waiting for a visit from nana. Miss J quickly popped in with her friend to give little madam more presents :D Her new favourite present is the massive balloon that Miss J gave her! Sod the new shoes and bear! (lol)

I can't believe little madam is one!! We made it through a whole year - and what a great one it has been :D
New house, new start :-)

A year ago today I would already be in hospital about to be induced! Little madam at this point last year was 12 days late.

I can not believe she is going to be one TOMORROW! my baby girl is growing up far to fast. She's sat on Aunty Lou's lap at the moment or as she calls her, 'Luh'. Little madam is eyeing up the nail varnish and checking out the jewelry!

I'm taking the Pez out to bingo tonight, hope we win something!!

You will be pleased to hear that we have FINALLY made a start with the paint. In fact my arms are covered, don't worry, I did manage to get some on the walls!
I have painted with the help of Lou and Miss J, three of the lounge walls in magnolia (original!) and one of the walls in the kitchen a mudhut colour. All of it needs another layer.

Miss J went all the way home just now and then realised that she had forgotten her friends house key (and they don't have a spare!) so she's now on her way back again haha! I wonder if she has a minute to drop me and Lou into town?! haha

Todaloo for now! x

The Pez has arrived

Domestos?! That's good for cleaning the other half's skid marks!

Yep, my sister has arrived lol had a scrumy dinner whilst watching the x factor, I'm a celeb and desperate housewives. Plus we watched the dvd we had made from Alton Towers. She's already been running around the house after little madam, carrying her around and bouncing her up and down. By the time I put little madam to bed she was so hyper and wide awake!!

The other half has started listening to the Harry Potter 7 on the CDs :-) bless him, I caught him earlier curled up on the bed listening to the next chapter. It's a good start because I really want him to start reading but he can never be bothered to sit there and read a book, so fingers crossed this will pull him into the world of imagination :D

I had a tesco shop arrive today, they delivered little madam's birthday cake and i'm so annoyed because it has squashed at one end and the peppa pig icing has fallen off! not happy!

I'm hoping tomorrow that maybe I can go and get the paint I need to decorate so we can make a start, I keep saying it but this time I really really really mean it!!! Grrr this house is bugging the hell out of me because it looks so s**t! I hate being so poor!

Annnyyyywaaaaaayyyyy, it's night night time :-) x

Then again, maybe not...

So yeah, we didn't quite make it to London in the end. In fact we didn't even get as far as Exeter. Unfortunately we were all involved in a car crash, luckily no one is badly hurt and we all live to tell the tale. It all happened on a slip road as we were trying to pull onto the main road, our friend accidently drove straight into the back of us. Think both cars may be a right off now because they werent looking great the last time I saw them.

Anyway, we're now home which feels great. I'm so thankful that the crash wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Looking forward to seeing Lou tomorrow x

Full of cold, haven't been paid and missing my daughter. That just about sums up today :-( Today is supposed to be the big day and so far I have been rushing around trying to get my wages pushed through seeing as they 'didn't receive my timesheet until Tuesday' and it was supposed to be there by Monday, Mid day. I was in tears when they told me that because I posted them first class last Thursday. So annoyed and upset, I feel so ill aswel.

So yeah, our London trip is on rocky ground at the moment. The other half took the weekend off work especially. Gutted.

On the plus side me and the other half had a lovely night together. It was the first time in a long time that we had no little madam to look after (she's with Miss J). We went to bingo and were waiting for 1 number for the cashclimber :-( then we went to see Harry Potter at the cinema. It finished really late and by the time we got the taxi home I literally crawled into bed as I felt horrible.

It's little madam's 1st birthday on Tuesday so can we all pray that I get paid today so I can make her day really special, not to mention her party next weekend.

Saturday, 20 November 2010

First of all let me just say, i'm exhausted! So I apologise if there are lots of spelling errors in the following post...

Well today I took all three kids to a indoor play centre down the road, met up with two of my friends and little madam's 'official' boyfriend I should say (she has many now haha). Little madam refused to crawl forwards lol she insists on going backwards, however she was keen to stand up a lot which I look at as a good sign. Maybe she will just walk! haha bless her, I'm just happy to have her as a baby for as long as possible :-)

So yeah, started Lou's xmas shopping today. I'm making a xmas hamper for her and the man :-) picked up a few bits and bobs in town. Hope she likes! Can't wait to see her in a week or so :D

It looks as though the other half and I will be looking at getting him a place back in college. He is really keen to qualify so that he can work in schools as a computer technician. This means he will have to cut back to part time and I will have to get a second job but I don't really see it as being a problem as such. I mean it's not as if I don't know how to live as a poor person lol I've managed the last couple of years, why not last a few more and get a massive bonus at the end if he lands the job he wants?!

Ergh, i'm so tired and I don't even know why!!! Anyway, better plough on, i'm forcing myself to sort through the washing before bed - that way I should be able to wangle a lie-in :D Plan! x

Saturday, 13 November 2010

Really not feeling great lately, been like it for a while now :-( The other half called in sick as well today, we're not doing well are we?! Even little madam was poorly on Thursday bless her. Just sat playing my online bingo and watching cowboy builders now lol

Tomorrow I am going to make it my mission to get the landing papered and fill in the holes in the bathroom ready for painting. I just need a stash of cash to just get this flipping house done! Apologies to those of you that I owe some money to, I haven't forgotten you at all and I will get a move on as soon as possible.

As mentioned on Facebook, I am on the look out for a trustworthy babysitter on Thursday 25th Nov, from 10am-6pm(ish). The reason I ask is because I can not afford for little madam to be put in nursery that day seeing as she will be in all day the day before aswel, and I really really really need this overtime as at the end of the month I will be losing my evening shift. So yeah if anyone is around that day then give us a shout :-)

Wednesday, 10 November 2010

Well little madam did her first whole day in nursery today so that I could do some over-time at work. She stayed in from 8.15am until 5.15pm! The nursery nurses said that you would never know that hse hadn't stayed all day before because she was so good and happy! :-) my little angel :D

We had our house inspection last week and here is the damage...
- The mystery door that was found in the kitchen wall is to be covered over again and remain hidden, however they are going to replaster the wall and give us a new cupboard (seeing as the other half dropped the last one and it smashed!!)
- We are going to get a new glass panel for our front door :D
- The bottom step on the stairs has been repaired and is looking good.
- We are having a new floor panel put up on the landing.
- The hole in the wall in the bathroom is being filled, we've yet to hear about a new shower being plumbed in.
-We can expect a decorating grant between £50-£70.
-We are yet to hear about the back garden (regarding the base of the knocked down porch)

So yes, the inspection went quite well :-)

Our new dining table looks lush! bit of a tight squeeze at the moment because we are having to keep our tele on the desk seeing as we don't yet have a tv unit. So much to buy!!
Going to have to concentrate all my efforts on little madam's 1st birthday and christmas now though as I think money is going to be tight on that as wel.

I hope there will be a good turn out for little madams birthday party :-)

Saturday, 6 November 2010

Just got back from the firework display down the road - it was really good :-) The kids enjoyed it, little madam just wasn't sure (however she LOVED her glow stick!) and the other half was so hyper it was like having a forth child :P

As soon as we got home we sat and watched the end of X Factor whilst the kids ate a yogurt and little madam finished her nap in the pram - bless x

I have spent the day peeling the yellow chipped paper on the landing/up the stairs, it's looking so much better already. Just need the other half to steam off the rest and also take down the tiles in the bathroom, then we can begin painting!! wahoo! I have so many ideas for this house...

Wednesday, 3 November 2010

It has just this minute been confirmed that the love of my life is definately coming to London to do christmas shopping at the end of the month! Hopefully it will be a good trip :-) Now need to find out from my boss if I can borrow her pram, it's tiny in comparison to mine, or should I say little madams!

The CBeebies card has now been sent off :-) look out for it on the 30th Nov - I hope they show it!

Speaking of little madam, she is sat here next to me eating her apple, raisin and cinnamon bakey bakies! yum yum she managed to say 'hiya' the other day whilst waving :D She's sooooo cute! munching away with her two little toothy-pegs hehe.

Okaaaay, there was a loud crash coming from the kitchen, the cupboards just fell off the wall!! Stop with the DIY my sweet, it's safer that way! Oh dear, can't wait until our inspector comes out on Friday, hopefully we can get a clearer idea of the work ahead. Sob :-(

Just a quick shout out to Bruce's daddy who I think I will name Monkey-Man :P Hope tomorrow goes well, thinking of you :-) x x
